Founded by Andreas Schubert in 1991, and ever since Event to Rent stands for quality, successful events and customer satisfaction. We have organised countless company and trade show events as well as many fairy-tale weddings. You can count on our professional experience and knowledge. It is our goal to make your event utmost successful and we are always willing to walk the extra mile – for you!

2023 – What a spectacle: 10,000 visitors gathered for the “Auto Eder Drive Experience” days in September. We were at the start and took care of all the catering with food and drinks stands, a beer garden and a VIP tent. The Ladies Art Lunch at the Brandhorst Museum in Munich earned us a headline in the Merkur and TZ newspapers: “This food is a show!”.
2022 – IFAT heralded a brilliant start to a more normal trade fair season for us after Corona. In addition to many other trade fairs, the postponed BAUMA also took place, which is always something very special for us. But we also had some catching up to do when it came to weddings: over 50 wedding couples entrusted us with the most beautiful day of their lives!
2021 – 30 years of event to rent 🎂
We can look back proudly on a 30-years company history. As the newspaper ” Süddeutsche Zeitung ” already reported, our origins lie in the field of show-barkeeping in 1991. Since then we have continuously developed and built up the areas of trade fair catering, event catering and weddings. We are really looking forward to a lot of new events that may come along!
2020 – a year that no one of us will ever forget. The corona crisis has hit the world and our wonderful plan of events for that year. Trade fairs, weddings and events were no longer allowed to take place. But we took advantage of this break and cared for things, that we usually don´t have enough time for. We are very grateful and proud that the whole event to rent team is still on board.
2019 was THE year of the trade fairs in Munich (BAU – ISPO – BAUMA – INTERSOLAR – TRANSPORT – OUTDOOR – EXPOREAL – INTERAIRPORT) and numerous regular customers and many new customers were supplied with our catering – in some cases up to 5,500 visitors were served daily. But not only in Munich there were big trade fairs, but also throughout Germany and in the nearby countries – from Barcelona to Prague and from Vienna to Amsterdam – we were on the road for our customers. Numerous corporate events, fantastic weddings and our own event series “ALPEN CHILL OUT” have brought us great guests again this year.
In 2018 we were allowed to completely design six events for the GWG in Munich on the occasion of 100 years of GWG. In the summer we were part of BUCHERER POLO for the 5th time, more than 50 customers got married with us and at big fairs like ELECTRONICA we worked for more than 20 customers – partly with complete support of the booth.
2017 was a big year of weddings and almost 50 times we said YES. Over 20 customers at the BAU trade fair and more than 25 customers at the TRANSPORT trade fair placed their trust in us. Shortly before Christmas we went to Hamburg to BLOHM+VOSS to realize the Christmas party for almost 1000 employees.
2016 25 years EVENT TO RENT® – since one ¼ century we are the guarantor for first-class service and excellent quality. This only works with a strong team of motivated employees and a trusting relationship with regular suppliers and partners for decades. And in June we realized a large project for the anniversary of the SGF in Waldkraiburg.
In 2015 we had numerous major events with up to 2,500 guests each. For JAGUAR we were able to present the models XE and XF and also in December it was not quieter – numerous Christmas parties were ordered from us.
In 2014 we took part in the BUCHERER POLO CUP in Munich for the first time, it was a long partnership with BUCHERER and JAGUAR / LAND ROVER.
2013 was the year of the big fairs in Munich. We saw many customers twice – at BAU and also at BAUMA. We were in Barcelona for our customers and also one last time at CeBIT … and also got married eagerly this year.
2012 over 20 couples have said YES and we were there. Many corporate customers were looked after at numerous trade fairs at home and abroad as well as at extraordinary corporate celebrations.
In 2011 we celebrated our 20th anniversary. We are proud of numerous new challenges and new projects, satisfied business customers and happy bridal couples.
In 2010 we continued to grow – we were often pioneers and impulses in the implementation of innovative ideas at special events. Bucyrus in Dortmund once again invited around 6,500 employees to the Family Day, and almost 1,000 guests came to the After-Expo-Party. Numerous wedding couples also trusted an experienced team in 2010.
2009 EVENT TO RENT® at innovative trade fairs for special customers. Many happy wedding couples are enthusiastic about the perfect service… Cooperations, intensive & successful cooperation with national and international agencies at trade fairs and events at home and abroad.
2008 and since three years caterer of the state capital Munich at various fairs & events. In-house exhibitions at renowned companies with up to 40,000 visitors in 10 days. Design of “dream weddings” as wedding event planners for up to 500 guests. Foundation of the sub-brand “EVENT TO RENT – Die Hochzeitsgestalter®”.
2006 was the football year! We arranged the press conference for premiere and were involved with various large Events & Public Viewings. In the time of the WM 40,000 guests with high-quality meals were supplied. KNÜRR celebrated 125 years of existence with 2,000 guests and DBT in Lünen invited around 6,000 employees to the summer party – EVENT TO RENT® was commissioned with the respective overall concept.
2002 with further expansion of the company in order to be able to work for up to 5,000 guests. Constant extension and development for perfect fair service at the most important locations of Europe. Foundation of the EVENT TO RENT® brand.
2000 and over 2.000 guests – VIP hospitality and complete event organisation in a unique and exclusive round tent for 2.500 VIPs, over 1.800 sqm! It was THE Event 2000 in Ingolstadt and with it: Joe Cocker, Brian Adams & Sabrina Setlur.
In 1999 we participated in various road shows – among others also for MICROSOFT – throughout Germany with a total of 7,000 guests in 10 cities. Opening ceremonies and events at Munich Airport and the Landesgirokasse Stuttgart were also major projects for us.
1998 saw the relocation of Messe München and the first ISPO at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. We were there right from the start – for ADIDAS & other companies. From this year on the first weddings were booked and dreamlike celebrations were arranged.
In 1997, by expanding our own production facility, we were able to realize events for more than 1,000 guests with our “Full-Event-Service”. The highlight was the Christmas party for MICROSOFT.
In 1995, complete events were conceived for the first time – and thus a further step towards event service was taken. RENT A BAR® was booked in the IT industry as an event caterer with show-barkeeping.
1994 the first larger projects on national & international fairs. RENT A BAR® was also quickly known as a reliable service provider at trade fairs such as CeBIT & ISPO.
In 1993, at the suggestion of a customer, the concept of “front cooking” was added. RENT A BAR® was one of the first companies to implement this in Germany.
